Zambia concluded a year of celebration marking 125 years since the Church was established in the country. The two-day closing event took place at the Lusaka Show Grounds main arena on 14th to 15th July 2017.

His Grace Archbishop Telesphore Mpundu, President of ZCCB (Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops) together with Apostolic Nuncio to Zambia, Archbishop Julio Murat, led the celebration on Saturday 15th July. During the celebrations Sr. Mary Costello SSHJM along with many other dedicated missionaries were honoured, as a symbol for the many missionaries who gave years of service to building up the faith and development in the country.
