Many of our overseas mission projects require funding support in order to provide meaningful services and opportunities for development.
As Mission Co-ordinator for Overseas Funding, Maureen O'Dwyer manages the Congregation’s Project Office for Overseas Missions. Maureen creates awareness of good development practices, funding opportunities and initiates capacity building initiatives for project personnel. She also mentors and supports members and project personnel in preparing grant submissions and reports and to ensure they are aware of the strict conditions required by donors.
Maureen evaluates all proposed projects to make sure they are in accord with the Charism of the Congregation, liaises between the Congregation and Development/funding agencies and other groups and collaborates with them with regard to funding, capacity building and development for our overseas missions.
Certainly a very valuable and busy role which provides great support to our overseas mission projects.
