Sr Maria made her final profession of Religious vows on 6th December 2009, in her home parish church of Immaculate Heart of Mary, in Hayes, Middlesex. The ceremony took place during the parish Sunday Mass and was a really joyful occasion with Maria’s family, friends, parishioners and Sisters in attendance.

From the very first opening chords of the church organ, we could tell we were in for a real treat.  
Sr Maria and many of her friends had been members of the Church Choir and Maria had invited them back to join with the present Choir to celebrate her special day.

We were certainly not disappointed!! The music was both joyous and contemplative, beautifully played and sung!! Everything came together to create the warm, happy and prayerful atmosphere that surrounded the ceremony.

After Mass, everyone was invited to the Parish Hall for tea.  Sr Maria is currently working in Kalinga, in the Philippines and a selection of photographs of her work were displayed so that the Parish could catch up with her recent activities.  There was also time for short speeches and cake cutting!!
